Osteopathic manual therapy is for any person:
- With chronic pain or tension, not resolving with other treatments
- Recovering from an acute injury or surgery
Anna’s approach to bodywork prioritizes visceral (organ) manipulation in the greater context of all fluid systems (neuromeningeal, fascial, vascular, cerebrospinal, lymphatic, etc). Scar tissue remediation is incorporated as needed. See below for more details about modalities.
New: What to Wear
Because treatments may occur in seated, side-lying, or standing positions, it’s important to wear or bring loose-fitting, flexible clothing to your session. For example: a tank top and underwear, boxers, or loose fitting shorts. Jeans, bras, yoga pants, or other tight or dense clothing are not workable.
For standing assessment and subsequent treatment, please be aware that you’ll be asked to empty your pockets and remove any: shoes, bra, glasses, watch, heavy jewelry, Invisalign, biomagnetic devices, and any spiritual or emotionally significant objects.

Schedule a Manual Therapy TreatmentModalities
Anna’s approach to treatment is rooted in the principles of osteopathy: the body desires to be in balance and at ease, the body is capable of self-healing, structures and their functions are interrelated (no injury occurs in isolation and no healing occurs in isolation).
Modalities utilized include: myofascial release, trigger point release, strain/counterstrain, manual lymphatic drainage, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, scar tissue remediation, active release, visceral manipulation, neuromeningeal manipulation, vascular manipulation, and others.
About Visceral Manipulation
Visceral Manipulation addresses the relationships between organs (e.g. bowel, liver, lung, uterus) and other structures such as bones, fascia, ligaments, nerves, fluid vessels. When the movement of an organ is restricted by an adhesion, injury, surgery, infection, or other imbalance, visceral manipulation can assist the body in unwinding restrictions and restoring movement. This treatment is incorporated into all table sessions (manual therapy, pelvic care).
